Concerning Update Shared Regarding Chris Bey’s Neck Injury

During Sunday night’s TNA television taping, both El Hijo del Vikingo and Chris Bey had to be taken out on stretchers after suffering injuries during separate matches. Yet, while Vikingo has already posted on social media that he will return stronger, Bey has yet to comment. And now, Fightful Select has reported his silence is because he is currently hospitalized due to requiring emergency neck surgery.

“Bey was taken to a hospital with a neck injury, and underwent surgery. We’re told that he’s recovering, but details beyond that will be kept private.”

Precisely what happened to 28-year-old Bey, who was teaming with his regular tag partner Ace Austin against The Hardy Boys, remains unclear. However, according to those in attendance, he seemingly took a bad bump and remained motionless in the ring, leading to him being pinned by Jeff Hardy.

For those unfamiliar with the TNA talent, Bey broke into the business back in 2016 and, within two years, was working for Impact Wrestling. Subsequently, he won the X Division Championship and has held the TNA World Tag Team Championship alongside Austin three times. Additionally, he has notably worked for New Japan, where he joined the legendary BC stable, although he mainly represents them in the States.
