When the phrase “locker room leader” is mentioned, one of the first names fans think of is The Undertaker due to his backstage influence and no-nonsense approach. However, with him having been retired for several years, the spot was open in WWE for other talents to step up. And now, while being interviewed by Jazzy’s World, Cody Rhodes, who many would think would be a candidate for this role, has revealed that the actual locker room leaders nowadays are Bayley and Randy Orton.
“Here’s the thing I think people don’t know about Bayley. She’s probably the actual locker room leader. If you got a captain, the C on the jersey, it’s probably her and Randy Orton. If you need something done, hey we need energy for this show… She’s the locker room leader, and she should be.”
Cody RhodesWhile it’s easy to see Bayley being a locker room leader because she is highly respected by her peers and fans, Orton is somewhat surprising, considering his previous backstage behavior. For those unaware, Orton has been accused of bullying, being disrespectful, and generally being very unprofessional in the past. Still, incidents like him smashing up hotel rooms and failing wellness tests are distant memories, with the 14-time world champion becoming a family man after marrying his second wife Kimberly in 2015.
