Pittsburgh-based metalcore band Code Orange has joined in the many tributes to the late Bray Wyatt. The charismatic WWE standout passed away at just 36 years old from a heart attack which stemmed from a bout with C*VID-19 earlier this year.

Code Orange wrote two of Wyatt’s entrance themes. When Wyatt returned to the WWE some eight months ago after a hiatus, “The Fiend” greeted audiences to the soundtrack of the Code Orange tune, “Shatter.” The melodic track was the second song the band provided to Wyatt for his entrance following in the footsteps of “Let Me In.”

The band posted on social media: “Rest In Power buddy. You helped make our childhood dreams come true. You rode for us at every single turn and truly believed in us. More than people even know. Thank you for letting us be a small part of your story. See you on the other side.”

Code Orange formed in 2008 in Pittsburgh and have been nominated for two Grammy Awards for Best Metal Performance. According to Scott Tady of Kill Your Stereo, “Code Orange takes…hardcore/metalcore and bleeds them over with modern industrial and bleak electronics, with the occasional alternative-rock detour…creating an almost-experimental sound that’s both familiar yet futuristic.”

The band also performed as part of an NXT TakeOver, and the group also played Aleister Black to the ring.

FOZZY also paid tribute to Wyatt at their Friday night show in London.

Rock and metal acts have a long history with wrestling. Motörhead famously played Triple H to the ring on two occasions with a live version of the theme music they cut for him, “The Game.” Motionless in White’s Chris Motionless also provided vocals for Rhea Ripley’s entrance theme. Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Cooper, Saliva and Limp Bizkit have all made appearances in one way or another for WWE.
