Since AEW’s new show Collision was announced without mention of CM Punk, rumors have swirled he may not be part of the brand. With an issue with Ace Steel’s potential return to the company cited. And while it appears nobody outside of those directly involved knows for sure, it seems CM Punk is blaming the story leaking on the Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez as he would take to his Instagram Stories to take a shot at the pro wrestling podcaster.

Alvarez began covering wrestling in 1995 with the launch of his Figure 4 Weekly newsletter and began working with Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter later that decade. The duo would become two of the most respected wrestling journalists, with Alvarez getting particular credit for being a pro wrestler himself. Nevertheless, he has the ability, like few others, to rile fellow wrestlers up, and he is clearly not on CM Punk’s Christmas card list.
