CM Punk is currently recuperating following surgery for a torn triceps suffered during All Out, which caused him to vacate the AEW World Championship. Nevertheless, the biggest news coming out of the evening was the backstage fight his comments caused during the post-show media scrum, with it appearing his AEW career is all but over. Now, though, the injured star has returned to social media for the first time since then. Specifically, Instagram to promote Blade of the 47 Ronin, a new movie co-written by his wife, AJ Lee. Which, for those unaware, is the sequel to the 2013 Keanu Reeves film 47 Ronin.

Any fans hoping Punk’s return to social may lead to him addressing the backstage altercation with The Elite at All Out are likely to be disappointed. As it’s doubtful that Punk can legally comment, even if he wanted to. Especially considering it’s been reported that his representatives are currently negotiating with AEW over a potential buyout of his contract. With the stumbling block apparently being the length of his non-compete clause, with AEW presumably wanting to prevent Punk from returning to WWE as soon as he is fully healed.
