CM Punk Fired By All Elite Wrestling

In news that very few thought would even happen, it has been announced by AEW via social media that CM Punk has been fired by the promotion following his backstage incident with Jack Perry at All In. The complete statement, which includes a quote from Tony Khan, can be read below.

Punk joined AEW in 2021 following a seven-year retirement from pro wrestling and quickly took a top spot in the company. However, following a very public meltdown at the All Our 2022 post-show media scrum, he would be involved in a backstage altercation with members of The Elite. This was subsequently referred to as “Brawl Out” and set the tone for how his AEW career would conclude.
