Christian Cage Set To Miss Considerable Time From The Ring

Christian Cage Set To Miss Considerable Time From The Ring

The highly anticipated match between Christiage Cage and Jungle Boy ended up disappointing fans due to lasting less than 30 seconds, with it later coming out Christian was working injured. And now it’s been reported by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Christian has a suspected triceps tear which will cause the former WWE star to miss around eight months. Therefore Christian winning the match, even though it was due to a Luchasaurus turn, is somewhat bizarre. However, Khan likely feels he can transition the feud to Luchasauraus, and Jungle Boy can ultimately get the big win when Christian returns.

Christian Cage was injured coming into the match with Jungle Boy. We don’t have the official injury but the word was a torn triceps, and that’s usually about an eight-month deal.

Christian made an unexpected return to the ring at the 2021 Royal Rumble, and it seemed inevitable he would reunite with Edge for a tag team run. Shockingly though, he signed a full-time deal with AEW and was given a strong push, going on to beat Kenny Omega for Impact Wrestling World Championship during the promotion working relationship. Although, once he dropped the title, he began only wresting sporadically, at one point going months between matches. This would attract criticism from fans who claimed he was being phased out. Yet they would soon be proven false once he began feuding with Jungle Boy and has since been given the opportunity to do some of the best heel work of his career.
