Chris Jericho Talks About History Lesson He Got From Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister

The non-makeup era KISS cover band Kuarantine is set for two shows this weekend at The Whisky in West Hollywood and at Vamp’d in Las Vegas. Ahead of the shows, frontman Chris Jericho spoke with Matt Pinfield for his “New & Approved” show on 95.5 KLOS.

The topic of meeting your heroes came up, and Jericho shared a funny story story about hanging with Lemmy to record a Talk Is Jericho episode. “I got along great with Lemmy,” Jericho said. “He was awesome. What a f*cking great guy. Just a gentleman. Very funny. And once the wall broke down of just being Lemmy, then he’s just a cool guy to be around and hang out with.”

Jericho continued: “I remember I went to his apartment to do Talk Is Jericho, and he showed me all of his World War II memorabilia. Now you might think, ‘This is amazing.’ He had so much stuff that after about 20 minutes of him describing this medal, and this fork and knife set, and this lighter, and this uniform, I felt like I was hanging out with my grandfather. I’m so freaking bored right now (laughs). I can’t take anymore history. Can we smoke a cigarette and have a vodka instead? But that was him. He was so into it, and we got along so well he wanted to show me all of it and explain it, too. And that’s kind of what friends are. That’s kind of the best part about meeting these guys that are your heroes that end up becoming your friends.”
