Chris Jericho Discusses His Near Fight With Brock Lesnar & Reveals He Was Going To “Bite His F*cking Nose Off”

Backstage fights in wrestling are always an intriguing topic for die-hard fans, with stories about Vader vs. Paul Orndorff, Jacques Rougeau vs. Dynamite Kid, and Booker T vs. Batista being almost as famous as any in the ring contest. However, in recent years one of the most spoken about backstage fights didn’t actually occur. Still, it came incredibly close at SummerSlam 2016, with Brock Lesnar and Chris Jericho getting about as close as two people can to fighting without punches being thrown.

Now, during an interview with the True Geordie Podcast, Jericho has opened up about the time he stood up to the former UFC Heavyweight Champion and revealed he was planning on biting his nose off if things got physical.

He was doing a match with Randy Orton, and he was basically just butchering him with elbows to the head. And I didn’t know if it was planned or not, and nobody would tell me. But elbows to the side of the head can kill you, your temple, if you get hit hard enough in the temple, you die.

I was in Gorilla, and I was f*cking angry about it, and Brock came through, and he saw me angry about it and decided he wanted to come challenge me, and we got into a little bit of an issue. And I was like, f*ck this guy. I don’t give a shit how big he is. I don’t f*cking care. It’s f*cking wrong, and I will fight to the death. I will stand up for what I believe in, to the death. And I remember being literally nose to nose with the guy, and he’s laughing, he was actually saying things that would probably get him canceled, like homophobic terms that you shouldn’t be saying.

I see this giant fat nose, and I’m like, if he comes any closer and takes a swing at me, I’m not even saying it as a tough guy. I’m literally going to bite his f*cking nose off. And I can see it right now. I’ll bite his f*cking nose off. See how tough he is then. He might kill me, but he’s going to walk around for the rest of his life with no f*cking nose.

It’s understood that the man who wouldn’t confirm to Jericho whether the brutal beating of Orton was planned was Michael Hayes, and it was actually Orton himself who had to tell him it was the finish. Therefore it’s fortunate that Lesnar and Jericho didn’t duke it out, as it certainly sounds like things would have gone bad fast. Especially with Jericho being prepared to fight dirty if necessary.
