At halftime of the Dallas Cowboys/Washington Commanders game on Thanksgiving, country legend and recent Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Dolly Parton performed a medley of tunes.

Parton sounded great as usual, but it wasn’t her performance that drew the most attention. The 77-year-old wore a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader outfit. Parton looked great, but some questioned her outfit choice as being appropriate for her age.

“Are you ok with 77 year old Dolly Parton dressing like a 20 year old Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader. Yes? or No?” wrote Vince Langman on Twitter/X.

The question got 23,000 replies and has been viewed more than 30 million times. Most supported the music icon including Chris Jericho who replied: “Beyond ok with it!  And whoever doesn’t like it, can go f*ck their *ss.”

A conservative Twitter/X account was critical saying: “77-year-old women shouldn’t be on stage pretending they’re 20. They should be at home spending time with loved ones and family. We need to stop normalizing this behavior. Do you agree or disagree?”

Dolly’s little sister Stella fired back at critics: “I personally thought my big sister Dolly was cute as hell in her Dallas Cowboys cheerleading costume at the half time show on Thanksgiving. To those of you being so critical of a 77 year old kicking up her heels, I say f*ck yourself. Shame on you not her.”

Parton recently released her very first rock album, “Rockstar” The album achieved her a new chart milestone as she cracked the top five of the Billboard 200 for the first time. “Rockstar” debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. Currently, the album still has time to climb. As a result, her first rock album could also be her first No. 1 record on the all-genre chart.
