Chris Bey Asks “Please Keep The Prayers Coming” In Statement Issued By TNA

Chris Bey’s neck injury has united the wrestling world, with fans and wrestlers generously donating to his GoFundMe after it was reported that he’d undergone emergency surgery. And while his current health status is currently being kept private, the TNA talent has issued a public statement via the company where he thanks everyone and asks that he be kept in people’s prayers on what he described as a “long and challenging” journey.

28-year-old Bey, who is from Virginia, first broke into the business in 2016, initially working under the name Chris Strong, having trained under Disco Inferno, Karrion Kross, Kenny King, and Sinn Bodhi. Subsequntly, after impressing on the indies, he received an opportunity with TNA in 2018 and since then has become one of their most dependable performers, putting on highly rated matches at both television tapings and on pay-per-view. Additionally, he wrestled for New Japan, where he joined the Bullet Club stable, although he has mainly represented them in the United States.
