During a recent interview, Chavo Guerrero accused WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio of “prostituting” his legendary surname by constantly linking himself to Eddie Guerrero. He would then double down on Twitter, saying that he should donate some of the money he’s made to Eddie’s daughters if that isn’t the case. However, following colossal fan backlash, he has now gone back on what he said, claiming he was being a heel and proving he could still fool the fans.
Whether Eddie’s nephew Chavo was initially being genuine and changed his stance in the face of criticism will remain unknown. However, others have expressed similar thoughts over the years, with accusations of exploiting Eddie’s death commonly more typically directed toward the company rather than specific individuals.
