Cameron Grimes’ Career Described As “In Limbo”

29-year-old Cameron Grimes hasn’t wrestled since November 2022, leaving many fans wondering what his status in WWE actually is. And now, during the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer has revealed that the NXT talent has actually finished with the brand. Still, his career is currently in limbo, awaiting an official call-up to the main roster.

Okay, so the deal was that Cameron Grimes was finishing up in NXT, because he was getting called to the main roster. Then, right now, what’s going on is they are waiting for an idea for the main roster. He’s in limbo. He’s done with NXT, and he’s supposed to be on the main roster, but they don’t have anything for him, so they’re not going to do it yet.

Grimes made a name for himself as Trevor Lee in TNA between 2015 and 2019 and managed to turn that into signing with WWE in early 2019. Then within three months, he was repackaged as his Cameroon Grimes and participated in the NXT breakout Tournament, which he lost in the final to Jordan Myles. However, his real big break came when he was repackaged in 2021, ad the Richest Man in NXT with it claimed he capitalized on the GameStop stock rise. This would see him feud with both Ted DiBiase and his associate LA Knight.
