Last week a GoFundMe was launched to assist Brian Knobs with his medical bills due to the former WWE and WCW wrestler facing the potential of having his foot amputated due to what was described as a “life-threatening infection.” And while it was hoped that the tag team legend was on the mend, having moved to a rehab center, it has sadly been shared via his Facebook profile that he has since been rushed back to the hospital for an emergency blood transfusion.
Knobs, along with his lifelong friend Jerry Sags began their wrestling careers in 1985 via the AWA and joined WCW in 1990 before jumping to WWE later that year. This would see them reach the pinnacle of the business as a tag team when they won at WrestleMania VII. Still, while they seemingly had a bright future in the company, they departed in 1993 due to their rowdy behavior outside the ring, although this wouldn’t stop WCW from rehiring them.
