Braun Strowman Reveals Emergency Hospital Stay

Ex-WWE star Braun Strowman has unfortunately revealed on Instagram that he has been hospitalized due to a sudden and painful knee infection. The former Universal Champion’s unexpected infection in his right knee required an overnight hospital stay and emergency care. Describing it as coming “out of nowhere,” no further details on treatment or recovery timeline were provided, but fans in the replies wished the Monster Among Men a speedy recovery.

“Well spent the night in the hospital with an infection that came out of nowhere in my right knee. So I could use some prayers and well wishes.” - Braun Strowman

42-year-old Strowman, whose real name is Adam Scherr, joined WWE in 2013 and debuted on the main roster in 2015 as part of The Wyatt Family before breaking out as a dominant singles force in 2016. Known for jaw-dropping feats of strength like flipping an ambulance, his career highlight came at WrestleMania 36 when he replaced Roman Reigns at short notice and defeated Goldberg for his first and only world championship. However, after being released by WWE for a second time in May 2025, it now appears his career in the business is over.
