When Blair Davenport was called up to SmackDown last year, many Anti-AEW fans on X joyfully speculated she could become a bigger star than her ex-boyfriend Will Ospreay. However, that appears to no longer be likely, as it was reported on Friday that the British wrestler had been released after only working a handful of matches on WWE’s blue brand. Yet it appears the 28-year-old isn’t letting this stop her from chasing her pro wrestling dream, as she has now taken to X herself to declare herself “TOP GAIJIN,” indicating she plans to return to Japan.

Davenport, also known to fans as Bea Priestley has already had a full pro wrestling career despite her young age. This is thanks to working for Stardom, World of Sport, AEW, and even being a valet in New Japan. Still, since 2021, she has been a full-time WWE talent, initially in NXT UK, then NXT, followed by SmackDown. And while her release will come as a huge personal blow, given her undeniable talent and willingness to travel, it looks like her future remains bright.
