Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson, collectively known as The Good Brothers, made their Impact Wrestling debuts at its Slammiversary pay-per-view in July 2020. And since then, they have been heavily featured and held the Impact Tag Team Championships three times. Yet, despite that success, many fans best remember them over the past two years for their time alongside Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks in AEW, thanks to Tony Khan implementing a working relationship with Impact.
Now though, it appears their time with Impact could soon be coming to an end as PWInsider.com has reported that the duo’s contracts are set to expire on Sunday. However, it’s understood they will work on Impact’s Emergence and Second City Slamm shows in Chicago on August 12th and 13th, respectively.
While Gallows and Anderson will be contractually free, they are expected to be appearing for New Japan Pro Wrestling. We are told they are have also commited to working additional Impact dates if and when they fit around their New Japan commitments, so they are expected to appear for Impact going forward, including August’s Chicago events. As of tomorrow, however, Gallows and Anderson would be 100% free and clear to take offers and/or sign with any other promotion, should a deal be made.
PWInsider.comPreviously the tag team had stated they were loyal to Impact Wrestling due to Scott D’Amore. This was because he brought them in when WWE released them after Paul Heyman told Vince McMahon they weren’t worth their $750,000 yearly salary. Nevertheless, there is still bound to be speculation that the duo will eventually be headed to AEW in the future, especially once Omega is medically cleared to return.
