Bayley is currently on top of the wrestling world, having won the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania XL earlier this year. And now, having shared the ring with the majority of WWE’s women’s roster during her 12 years with the company, she has revealed during an interview with Le10Sport that if she could face any performer from another company, it would be AEW’s Kris Statlander.
“I really like Kris Statlander. I think she’s just freaking so athletic. She kind of reminds me of like Rhea Ripley. You know or like it seems like she can do everything so I’d be interested to get in the ring someday.”
BayleyWhile 28-year-old Statlander is an AEW original, having signed with Tony Khan’s promotion in 2019, she actually worked a match for WWE earlier that same year. This occurred during an episode of SmackDown, with Statlander simply going by her full first name, Kristen, in a tag match alongside Legado del Fantasma’s Elektra Lopez against The IIconics. At the time, she was positioned as an enhancement talent, and her job that night was to make the contracted stars look good. However, you’d have to think that should she ever return to WWE, it would be in a far more prominent role, considering her AEW achievements.
