WWE regularly releases talents, and while it is always sad for those affected, it is part of the business. And now, ahead of Crown Jewel, Fightful Select has reported that Baron Corbin, Tegan Nox, and Indi Hartwell are all leaving the company. Whether more releases will be announced is still being determined, although Sean Ross Sapp has stated on X that he has been told these are the only three in this round.
“Baron Corbin was informed his contract would not be extended. Indi Hartwell and Tegan Nox were released and will be free agents in 90 days.”
Fightful SelectOf all the names let go, 40-year-old Corbin was the most notable, having signed with WWE in 2012 after he failed to make it to the NFL. Since then, he has been a management favorite, at least under Vince McMahon, and received a solid push, including winning the Money In The Bank match in 2017. Still, despite multiple gimmick changes, some fans have begun to tire of the former footballer player in recent years, meaning his departure is far from a shock.
