On Friday WWE released over a dozen talents, with former Universal Champion Braun Strowman arguably being the biggest name. And now during the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer has revealed that WWE made the decision to release Strowman for a second time as they didn’t feel they were getting value for money on his salary.
Strowman’s initial run in WWE was incredibly memorable, with him sharing a ring with the likes of Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt, and even Shane McMahon. However, since returning to WWE in September 2022, 41-year-old Strowman has suffered multiple injuries, the most significant of which resulted in the need for neck surgery. Therefore, while he may end up wrestling elsewhere, some fans believe retirement could be a realistic option.
