According to a report by ABC, an Australian woman claims she was hit in the face by Axl Rose’s microphone when he tossed it into the crowd during Guns N’ Roses’ concert in Adelaide earlier this week.

The alleged incident occurred when the band was ringing out the final notes of “Paradise City” to close their set. Video can be seen of Rose tossing the mic into the audience.

The woman suffered bruises on her face. She told ABC: “I was just putting out a warning for people: if Axl sings ‘Paradise City’, get ready to duck for cover. My intentions were not to gain anything.”

She told the Adelaide Advertiser that the mic hit her on the bridge of her nose which left her bloodied and hyperventilating. An off-duty policeman apparently pulled her aside after she was hit and tried to stop the bleeding from her nose.

“I was in shock and hyperventilating,” she claimed. “My mind went, ”Oh, my God, my face is caved in.'”

The woman also said she was worried about others in the audience being hurt at future Guns N’ Roses shows. “What if [the microphone] was a couple of inches to the right or left?,” she said. “I could have lost an eye…if my head was turned and it hit me in the temple, it could have killed me.”

Allegedly, Rose previously hit a man in the audience with a mic toss in 2013 during the band’s show in Perth. The man ended up recovering the cost of dental fees in court after losing two of his front teeth.
