There is currently a lot of change within AEW, as following the news that it was mutually agreed that Mark Henry’s contract wouldn’t be renewed, Arn Anderson has now revealed he is also set to depart the company. The WWE Hall of Famer announced this during a live version of The ARN Show, confirming his deal expires at the end of May. However, demonstrating his professionalism and showing there are no hard feelings, he would take the time to thank Tony Khan and call him a wonderful human being.
Anderson, 65, made his AEW debut in 2019 at All Out, providing assistance to Cody Rhodes in his match against Shawn Spears. Soon afterward, it would be confirmed that he had signed a full-time contract with the company, and he would subsequently utilize his years of experience both on-screen and in a backstage capacity. Still, his long-term future has been uncertain for some time, as his son Brock’s AEW contract wasn’t renewed last year, and some speculated he may have wanted to focus his remaining years in the business aiding his development.
