In 2021, it was announced that WWE had released Tyler Breeze, along with his tag partner Fandango. Yet, while Fandango has continued his career by becoming a fixture in TNA, Breeze hasn’t competed much, instead choosing to focus on his wrestling school, Flatbacks Wrestling, which he owns with Shawn Spears. And now, while it might not mean anything, it has been revealed by Fightful Select that in addition to the previously reported Baron Corbin and Top Dolla, Breeze was also backstage at AEW’s Worlds End pay-per-view this past weekend.

“Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp had reported that AJ Francis and Baron Corbin/Tom Pestock were both backstage, but that wasn’t it. We’re told that Tyler Breeze was also at the show. The 36-year old Tyler Breeze hasn’t wrestled in the last few months, and we’re told he was visiting friends as he lives in the area.”
Breeze, real name Mattias Clement, trained under Lance Storm and signed with WWE after just three years on the indies. Then, after undergoing multiple name changes and finding little success, he would undergo a complete gimmick overhaul, becoming a pretty boy obsessed with taking selfies. This eventually led to him forming a tag team partnership with Fandango, and subsequntly, the duo, known as Breezango, became cult fan favorites, winning the NXT Tag Team Championships the year before their release.
