Alex Windsor Discusses Going From Heartbreak To Happily Engaged With Will Ospreay

In a candid new interview with Denise Salcedo, British AEW star Alex Windsor opened up about her inspiring journey from personal tragedy to finding love with Will Ospreay. The pair first crossed paths roughly 15 years ago at a backyard wrestling school and remained casual acquaintances for over a decade. Nearly five years ago, both were navigating significant personal hardships when they reconnected for a simple catch-up. What started as mutual support gradually blossomed into a deep emotional bond and eventually into an engagement.

I’ve known Will for about 15 years now. I think he was at one of the backyarding schools, and I went out there and saw him messing around with the training mats. Obviously, we’ve known each other through the British scene … Then, almost five years ago, we were both having a difficult time, we both were. So we were like, ‘Let’s just have a catch-up. We haven’t seen each other for such a long time.’ Like, you know, you’re going through a bit of a time, me too, so let’s have a good old catch-up. And it kind of went from there.” – Alex Windsor

Born Alice Olivia Walker on November 9, 1993, in England, Windsor trained under the legendary Knight family and made her in-ring debut in 2009. She quickly built a name across the UK indie circuit, particularly with promotions like Pro-Wrestling: EVE and RevPro, all while raising her young son with fellow wrestler Ryan Smile. However, Smile tragically took his own life in October 2020 after a long battle with mental health issues, which turned Windsor’s world upside down.
