Alex Riley Announced For First Singles Match In Almost Seven-Years

After not wrestling for over six years and saying he didn’t see a purpose wrestling again as he had a good career, former WWE star Alex Riley returned to the ring for Brian Myers’ Create A Pro. And while it appeared that could be a one-off tag team charity match, it has now been confirmed he is set to work for Billy Corgan’s NWA under the name Kevin Kiley against EC3 at their Nuff Said pay-per-view next weekend.

Riley looked like a can’t-miss star coming out of the second season of WWE’s faux reality version of NXT as The Miz’s rookie. However, his career stumbled after he stood up for himself after being hazed by John Cena, and it’s claimed the movie star used his influence to hold him back. It should, though, be noted that Cena has never confirmed this himself, and in the past multiple wrestlers have claimed to have been held back to cover their own shortcomings.
