Following a spell off WWE television last year, AJ Styles returned looking in incredible shape. Subsequently, some fans would speculate he was on PEDs as a 46-year-old shouldn’t have such a physique. However, there is absolutely no proof of that, and now, during a new interview, he has commented how he got in such fantastic shape, putting it down to mostly eating meat and a two-hour workout that also includes submerging himself in cold water.
“I can tell you this, it starts with the diet. I’m a meat eater, that’s the majority, 98% of my diet, it’s all meat. I don’t play around. Every now and then, I may have something with sugar in it, but I just cut out carbs. I have to dedicate 2 hours to my workout, and that’s not because I am in the gym the whole time. I’m getting in my cold plunge, and it sucks every time.”
AJ StylesStyles made his name in TNA after spending over a decade with the promotion, only departing because they wanted to reduce his salary by 60%. At the time, it was thought it could be the end of Styles’ pro wrestling career in American mainstream wrestling. Yet, after a very successful run in New Japan, he received an offer from WWE and, to the surprise of some, became one of the company’s most prominently featured performers.
