Tanea Brooks, better known as Rebel, last wrestled over a year ago and hasn’t appeared on AEW television for even longer, although it is known she remains with the company. And now, in a sad update, the former TNA talent, who disclosed eight months ago she was having medical issues, has taken to X to inform her followers that she still has no answers and is feeling “down and defeated.” Still, she would add that she is continuing to fight, and therefore, all that can be hoped is that the 46-year-old wrestler and valet is getting all the support she needs.

“Another day, another Dr. visit, no answers and not any better. It’s been a year since I was hospitalized and I’m losing Hope. I’m down and defeated but I’m still fighting”Rebel

Rebel first broke into the business in 2014 via OVW before debuting for TNA as part of the Menagerie faction alongside Crazzy Steve, Mike Knox, and Rob Terry. A few years later, she would get an opportunity to work for WWE, appearing on NXT alongside Amber Nova in a tag team loss to Kairi Sane and Io Shirai, but it didn’t result in a contract offer. Subsequently, her future appeared to be outside the ring when AEW recruited her for a backstage hair and makeup position. Yet she actually ended up being put alongside Dr. Britt Baker, becoming a popular double-act in the early days of the promotion despite both of them being heels.
