It was recently revealed that both AEW’s YouTube shows, AEW Dark and Dark Elevation, would end due to Collision’s upcoming debut and exclusivity clauses. And with it understood that Dynamite and Collision will both be A shows, it’s led to speculation on what will happen to Rampage. And now Dave Meltzer has reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Rampage will take their place, mainly focusing on showcasing younger talent.
Rampage debuted on August 13, 2021, opened by Kenny Omega vs. Christian Cage for the Impact World Championship, and then had its best-rated show ever the following week when CM Punk debuted. However, ratings have been up and down since then, and star power would vary between episodes. Now though, Rampage is set for a fresh start, and it will be interesting to see exactly where it fits into the wrestling landscape.
