In joyful news, AEW’s Leila Grey has announced on Instagram that she has tied the knot with her long-term boyfriend and fellow professional wrestler Luke Kurtis, who is best known for wrestling in OVW. The loved-up couple made the ultimate commitment on Saturday at the Kukua Beach Club in the Dominican Republic, surrounded by family and friends, with Grey declaring it “truly a fairytale wedding.”
35-year-old Grey broke into the wrestling business in 2020 via the indies and, less than six months after debuting, was already working for AEW, sharing a ring with names like Tay Conti, Penelope Ford, and Abadon. From here, she would become part of Jade Cargill’s stable, The Baddies, taking the spot of Red Velvet, who was injured. However, while the group showed plenty of potential, they would disband once Cargill opted to leave AEW, resulting in Grey being repackaged as the valet of Top Flight while also wrestling occasionally for both AEW and ROH.
