Austrian wrestler Thekla was recently “fired” by Japanese promotion Stardom as part of a storyline, ending her four-year run with the promotion. This was apparently done because she had decided to join a major US promotion, with it known that both WWE and AEW were interested.
And now, after Fightful Select recently reported she’d inked a contract with AEW, a red spider has appeared briefly during this week’s episode of Dynamite, which seems to be teasing Thekla’s debut, with the 32-year-old also known as “The Toxic Spider.”
Thekla Kaischauri began training in 2017. After wrestling in Austria and Germany, she initially pursued a career in the Japanese wrestling scene for Ice Ribbon before moving on to Stardom in 2022. This saw her share a ring with names including Mina Shirakawa, Momo Watanabe, and Giulia, which raised her profile and put her on fans’ radars worldwide.
