In recent months, AEW has been bolstering its roster with multiple new talents, such as The Rascalz, Persephone, Tommaso Ciampa, and Jake Doyle, with Tony Khan seemingly prepared to spend money to back up his claim that his company is “where the best wrestle.” And now Fightful Select reports that a contract has been offered to Clark Connors, who was most recently wrestling for New Japan. Whether he will sign remains unknown, but it would be surprising if he didn’t at this stage of his career.
“Fightful Select has learned from All Elite Wrestling sources that Clark Connors is expected to be signing with the company imminently. It was confirmed that there is an offer that is set to be finalized soon.” – Fightful Select
32-year-old Connors, real name Connor Deutsch, debuted in 2017 on the independent circuit in the Pacific Northwest and Canada. From there, he joined New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s LA Dojo as a Young Lion, training under Katsuyori Shibata. This led to him becoming a New Japan regular and wrestling for AEW on two Forbidden Door shows, and this past week, he faced Darby Allin on Collision in a hard-hitting, fast-paced contest.
