AEW Issues Adam Page Update After His Match With Jon Moxley Had To Be Abruptly Stopped

Going into Tuesday night’s Dynamite, fans were excited about Jon Moxley vs. Adam Page for AEW World Championship; however, the match would have to be abruptly stopped. This was because Moxley hit the challenger with a lariat clothesline that turned Page, flipped him over, and saw him land face-first on the mat. Subsequently, AEW’s doctor Michael Sampson would hit the ring, and the match was awarded to Moxley. And at this point, the commentators focused on what was coming up on Rampage and Dynamite so off-camera Page could be stretchered out and taken to the hospital.

Obviously, this left fans watching both at home and in attendance worried, as it didn’t take a medical degree to tell that Page was in a bad way. Thankfully though, AEW was quick to update fans via social media, and while the news wasn’t great as it was confirmed Page suffered a concussion, it was noted he had been discharged from the hospital.

While there is never a good time for someone to suffer an injury, the timing is awful, with The Elite, CM Punk, and Adam Cole all unavailable. However, there is still a chance Page could return in time for next month’s Full Gear pay-per-view, with 80 percent of concussions resolving within 14 days. Ultimately though, the most crucial thing is Page gets healthy for his own benefit and family.
