AEW Commentator Removed From Roster Page

While it isn’t always the case, typically, when a talent is removed from AEW’s website roster page, it means they are no longer with the promotion. And now it has been noted by fans on social media that commentator Kevin Kelly, who joined the company back in June 2023, is no longer listed. This follows a series of cryptic posts he made on social media platform X over the weekend in which he claimed that he had been “pushed aside” and described himself as sitting “on the bench, valued by my peers, waiting to get my number called.

56-year-old Kelly, real name Kevin Foote, broke into the business in 1991 and worked as a ring announcer, manager, and even occasional wrestler before signing with WWE in 1996. Initially, he worked as a backstage interviewer before becoming a commentator; however, he was released in 2003 due to budget cuts. Still, he wouldn’t let this end his pro wrestling career, and he would subsequently work for MLW, ROH, and New Japan, where he was highly praised for his work.
