AC/DC are scheduled to perform in the Argentinian capital of Buenos Aires next week as part of their ongoing “Power Up” tour. The group is set for performances at River Plate Stadium on March 23, 27 and 31.
Stevie Young, who took over rhythm guitar duties for the band following the passing of AC/DC founder and rock icon Malcolm Young, has reportedly been hospitalized but is still expected to perform next week. “Out of an abundance of caution, he was admitted to a local hospital where he is undergoing a full battery of tests,” a spokesperson for AC/DC told Reuters offering few other details. “Stevie is doing well and is in good spirits. He is looking forward to getting on stage on Monday.”
Stevie, the nephew of both Malcolm and Angus Young, has appeared on AC/DC’s last two studio albums, “Rock Or Bust” and “Power Up.” He also filled in for the group back in the late ‘80s for their “Blow Up Your Video” tour when Malcolm left to deal with alcohol related issues.
