Abadon Clarifies Their AEW Status

Abadon started in the business just three years ago after training with Al Snow. And while inexperienced, thanks to a striking look, the non-binary competitor caught the attention of fans after appearing on AEW Dark against Hikaru Shida just over a year into debuting. Subsequently, an appearance three months later on Dynamite resulted in their full-time signing and the beginning of a cult following. Nevertheless, fans began to worry on Wednesday when Abadon took to Twitter to make it known they were available for bookings, leading to speculation that their time with AEW was concluding. However, Abadon would go on to confirm that wasn’t the case, and they simply wanted to wrestle more.

Many fans consider Abadon to be one of AEW’s most underutilized talents having only competed twelve times this year. And when you consider they last appeared on a non-YouTube AEW show on the 27th of October 2021 episode of Rampage, it does seem like Tony Khan does have some doubt regarding their readiness for television. Therefore extra outside bookings, which should allow for longer matches, could be just what Abadon needs to become a regularly featured AEW star.
