Are you stumped for gift ideas? Need a last-minute present for that relative or friend that’s impossible to shop for? Why not give the gift of a message from a famous professional wrestler? Personalized videos featuring “your favorite stars” can be ordered via Cameo, a Chicago-based website that allows fans access to more than 30,000 celebrities. Wrestlers have gotten into the Cameo game, and prices vary from star to star.
How does Cameo work? Fans go to cameo.com, search for a celebrity and request a video or a chat. When a request is completed, usually within a week, Cameo will email and text a link to a video to view, share or download. If for some reason, the video isn’t completed, the hold on your credit card will be removed within five to seven business days. The prices listed are “personal use” videos. Cameo recently added a more expensive business tier for “engaging video content for your company, customers or employees.” Here is a guide with sample videos of some of the most popular wrestlers on the site.
AEW star and all-around heel MJF will cost you $500. “The only reason I made it $500 and everybody else is so much cheaper, is ‘cause I don’t like you people,” he said in his introduction video. His Cameos are exactly what an AEW fan would expect — rude, insulting and highly entertaining.
WWE Hall of Famer and legend Ric Flair will cost you $500. “The founder of swag, bling before bling was bling … call me!” Flair said in his introduction video. Portions of Flair’s fee benefits the CDC Foundation, and his videos, delivered in his unmistakable and trademark style, are a lot of fun.
AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker costs $200. The “D.M.D.” is one of AEW’s most popular wresters and she is on Cameo offering “life advice, dental advice, or if you just want to chat.”
Former AEW TNT champion Miro is $200. “The Redeemer” cuts a great, unique promo and his Cameo videos follow suit.
“The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be,” Bret “Hitman” Hart costs $150. The legendary WWE Hall of Famer gives shoutouts, answers questions and shares stories.
“Have a nice day!” — Hardcore wrestling legend, comedian, best-selling author and WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley costs $149, and Foley makes it worth the price. One of the nicest people in pro wrestling, Foley clearly enjoys connecting with his fans and wishing them well.
WWE Hall of Famer and CEO of DDPYoga, “Diamond” Dallas Page costs $139. A hugely inspirational figure through both wrestling and DDPYoga, Page’s messages are upbeat, positive, and generally more on the lengthy side as compared to some other wrestlers on the site.
Former WCW and WWE champion Kevin Nash is $115. “You got somebody out there that’s a pain in the ass? Maybe I can give them a little verbal smacking on here,” he said.
AEW star and former TNT Champion Darby Allin is $100. Darby actually does stunts and beats up villains in his videos, making his Cameos one of the more unique options available.
Former WWE star and current Impact talent Matt Cardona costs $100. Cardona is used to getting himself over via online videos as he has established a substantial cult following via social media and YouTube. His Cameos are just as entertaining.
Former Ring of Honor wrestler, the “very nice, very evil inter-dimensional celebrity” Danhausen is $50. A funny and unique character, his Cameo videos follow suit.
AEW referee and AEW Unrestricted podcast host Aubrey Edwards is $45. Edwards clearly has a lot of fun with these, too.
And here are some more wrestlers on Cameo: The “greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time,” the Honky Tonk Man costs $250; Former WWE star CJ “Lana” Perry is $199; AEW wrestler/rapper “Platinum” Max Caster is $150; Former WWE strongman Adam Scherr (Braun Strowman) is $150; legendary manager Jim Cornette is $149; AEW and former WWE star Billy Gunn is $100; Current AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara costs $100; “The Enforcer” and wrestling legend Arn Anderson is $100; AEW star Kris Statlander is $60; Former WWE, ECW wrestler The Blue Meanie is $40; WWE Hall of Famer Tito Santana costs $25; Former WWE star and inventor of “Rusev Day” Aiden English is $19; Former WWE wrestler/manager James Ellsworth is $19.
